Life got through throwing curve balls at me. Then it started with the line drives. Straight to the forehead. I have had a really bad year this year in regards to my health. If it was not dental, it was respiratory. I got bronchitis so bad that I could barely breathe when I got to the doctor's office. And I managed to get a stomach bug. It got worse for my family.
My Paw-Paw Timmons' fight with Alzheimers got worse. He got so far gone that he could not care for himself at all. My Granny Timmons stayed by his side to the very end. He went to heaven about two months ago now. I still miss him terribly.
Then on the same day I was let go from my job and found out that my renter left the house owing me three months rent. To make it worse, I had to spend a considerable amount cleaning up the mess left behind.
Needless to say, I have been a bit stressed for a while.
So now I am left without a job and bills for two homes coming to me. I spent about a week just trying to tread water emotionally. If it were not for my family and friends I would have drowned.
Okay. Now for the good news. I do have some savings. I have a roof over my head and food on my table. I will get through this. And nothing like the worst time in your life to find out exactly who your friends are. I can not emphasize enough how truly blessed I am to have two families. The first is my biological family who has always been there for me and loved me no matter what. I love them more than I can even begin to say. The second is my Auburn family. I have made so many wonderful friends over the last three years. They have stayed by my side through these rough days.
I have my first substitute teaching job tomorrow and an interview Monday. I think things are turning around.
