The human mind is an incredible thing. It can be the difference between life and death, literally. I have read "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. If you have not read it, do so. Game changer. But what truly has amazed me tonight is the documentary on Netflix titled "The Lady in No. 6" about Alice Herz-Sommer. I try to see the beauty in life, but she puts me to shame. This lady and her friends survived Nazi Germany. To listen to them: incredible! To hear them relate their stories and not even for one second seem pitiable, is eye opening. They can look back on a situation with death all around them and know that for one second they did not feel like a victim, know that there is beauty even in the worst times. And not just say it, but believe it down to their core! Take the time to watch it. Take 45 minutes out of your life to look upon the sheer joy that radiates from this 109 year old lady; and then try to tell me you are not amazed.
